Dear Friends and Colleagues
On behalf of the Federation of Aligarh Alumni Associations (www.aligs.org), (the “Federation”), it gives me immense pleasure to invite you to the XIth Annual Convention, to be held at The Radisson Hotel, Eastlake, OH, USA, on June 22nd & June 23rd 2012. An exciting array of events and sessions are being planned. Our very own and the renowned poet, social activist and MP (Rajya Sabha) Mr. Jawed Akhtar has very kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest. Jawed Saheb has a long history of association with Aligarh and I am certain that we all will benefit from our interactions and dialogues with him.
The central theme of the convention will be “How to revamp the Federation” and suggestions for topics for discussion are invited from the members. Together we all can make a difference. Your input in this regard will be extremely valuable in planning the event and will help us in finalizing the agenda for the same.
The convention will also be the venue of the Elections for various positions. Formal notification and the nomination forms will be issued by the Election Officer Mr. Umar Farooq who will also act as the Returning Officer.
